“The Things Making You Afraid Are Just Mere Shadows” | Laurie Idahosa

According to Wikipedia FEAR is a feeling induced by perceived danger or threat that occurs in certain types of organisms, which causes a change in metabolic and organ functions and ultimately a change in behavior, such as fleeing, hiding, or freezing from perceived traumatic events.

Laurie Idahosa shared more nuggets on this thing called fear and how to handle this emotion as Christians.

She had this to say:

“Fear can stop you from dreaming big. Fear can make you choose an average life instead of an extraordinary life.

.When you trust in God’s unfailing ability to hold you and carry you though, fear has lost the ability to restrain you. Most of the things that we are afraid of aren’t real. We fear the possibility of a bad outcome, we fear the shadows of greatness, we fear the first step into the deep waters of purpose.

A life that has put fear in its place is a life that is destined to do incredible things.
.
Isaiah 41:10 (amp) says…”Do not fear [anything], for I am with you;
Do not be afraid, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you;
I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand [a hand of justice, of power, of victory, of salvation].’
.
My prayer for you is that you’ll realize that the things making you afraid are just mere shadows.”
