Nigerian Promoter Slams Wale With Lawsuit for Failing to Appear at Concert After Payment
Upfront and Personal Global, the talent and entertainment company owned by Lagos-based promoter Paul Okoye, has slammed rapper Wale with a lawsuit for accepting a fee but failing to make appearance at a New York concert this summer.
According to the documents obtained by TMZ, the company said they hired the rapper to perform at a show, reportedly paid him $25k but he failed to make an appearance. Here’s what TMZ said:

“In the docs — obtained by TMZ — Upfront shows an alleged signed contract between Wale’s camp and the company, plus 2 wire transfers for $12.5k a piece. They claim after Wale bailed on the show, he went radio silent on ’em when asked for a refund.”
According to the report, in the lawsuit filed by Upfront and Personal, the entertainment outfit want not just a refund of the fees they paid to the rapper, they also want interest.
Wale is yet to speak up since the lawsuit was filed, and now we can’t wait to see how this pans out!
