Court orders Ikoyi Prisons to produce N967.6m subsidy fraud suspect

A Federal High Court, sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, on Tuesday, ordered the authorities of Ikoyi Prisons, Lagos, to produce an oil marketer, Oluwaseun Ogunbambo, in court, to face trial in an alleged N967.6 million fuel subsidy fraud.

The order was given by the trial judge, Justice Adeniyi Onigbanjo, after the accused’s absence stalled the continuation of his trial.

Justice Onigbanjo directed the authorities to produce him at the next adjourned date, on February 11, 2013.

The suspect had been charged to court by ant-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
